A fire broke out on Wednesday morning around 10 am in the second floor of the The Ivory Tower in The Retreat Apartments, Sector 41 Gurgaon.
According to residents, four family members suffered injuries and were hospitalised.
As the society is situated near to Fire Brigade, the emergency service reached the spot in no time and doused the fire before it could spread to other floors. The police from sector 40 station also reached.
“Me and my family were inside when the incident happened. There was no fire alarm. After 10 minutes, we heard noise outside, then we came to know and we run. How did the RWA manage fire clearance despite no fire alarm or fire sprinklers?,” questioned a resident.
Another resident said, “Installation of Fire Alarm system and PA system or Security to make announcements during incidents such as Fire or Earthquake should have been there.”
Initial reports suggest that the cause of fire was due to Havan in the flat.
