Delhi woke up to a warm morning on Monday as the minimum temperature settled at 28.8 degrees Celsius, slightly higher than the average for this season.
The relative humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 53 percent, according to reports.
The weather department has forecasted strong surface winds throughout the day, and the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 41 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies and dry weather for the next few days, indicating hotter days ahead for Delhi.
Although the meteorological office hasn’t predicted a heatwave for at least a week, there is a possibility of such conditions occurring in isolated places.
On Sunday, the national capital experienced a partly cloudy sky, and the maximum temperature was slightly below the seasonal average at 38.5 degrees Celsius. (With inputs from PTI)
