Light rain likely in Delhi

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.8°C as IMD forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain at isolated places; maximum temperature likely to touch 35°C

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, with the weather office forecasting a generally cloudy sky and light rain later in the day at isolated places.

According to the India Meteorological Department, station-wise minimum temperature showed that Safdarjung recorded a minimum of 27.8 degrees Celsius, 1.3 notches above the season’s normal.

Palam recorded 24.8 degrees Celsius, 1.4 notches below normal, while Lodi Road recorded 27 degrees Celsius, 2 notches above normal.

Ridge recorded a minimum of 23.7 degrees Celsius, 1.9 notches below normal, while Ayanagar recorded 26.7 degrees Celsius, 0.7 notches above normal.

The weather office also forecast a maximum temperature of 35 degrees Celsius.

At 9 am, the city’s air quality index stood at 119 in the moderate category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.

According to CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
