The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited expressions of interest (EOI) to develop integrated parking and commercial spaces at Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) stations along the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor.
This initiative aims to enhance passenger convenience by transforming parking lots into multifunctional hubs with modern amenities and diverse commercial facilities.

The project seeks to create vibrant spaces by integrating parking areas with outlets, food courts, offices, service apartments, and leisure facilities. These developments will cater to the immediate needs of passengers while also offering spaces for work, recreation, and short-term stays.
By implementing this initiative, RRTS stations will not only function as transportation hubs but also emerge as centers for business and leisure, enriching the overall commuter experience.
NCRTC has identified six strategically located stations for this project: Rajnagar, Guldhar, Duhai, Murad Nagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North, and Meerut South.
Developers are invited to submit innovative proposals for these locations by December 27 2024. The detailed application process and guidelines are available on the official NCRTC website.
This initiative is part of NCRTC’s efforts to optimize station spaces and improve infrastructure along the 82-km RRTS corridor, which connects Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut’s Modipuram.
Currently, the Namo Bharat train services are operational over a 42-km stretch between Sahibabad and Meerut South, covering nine stations. Trial runs are underway at Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar stations in the Delhi section, extending the corridor further.

By combining mobility with commercial development, NCRTC aims to create self-sustaining, passenger-centric hubs, maximizing the utility of RRTS stations while providing new business opportunities.
