Water supply will be disrupted in parts of the national capital for 12 hours on Friday due to maintenance work, the Delhi Jal Board announced.
A statement listed the affected areas, which include Civil Lines, Hindu Rao Hospital, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Pahar Ganj, Old and New Rajinder Nagar, Patel Nagar (East and West), Baljeet Nagar, Prem Nagar, Inderpuri, parts of cantonment areas, and nearby locations under NDMC and south Delhi.
The statement further explained that the disruption is caused by repair work on a leakage in the 500 mm diameter Rising Main originating from Chandrawal Water Works at the Dr Ambedkar National Memorial premises in Civil Lines. As a result, potable water supply from Chandrawal Water Works will be suspended for 12 hours starting from 11 am on September 20.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to use water sparingly during the repair work. Water tankers will be available upon request through the DJB helpline or the central control room.
