Rohini blast: The Delhi Police have filed an FIR concerning a blast that occurred near a cinema hall in Rohini on Thursday, officials reported.
The low-intensity explosion, which happened nearly 40 days after a similar incident at a CRPF school in the same vicinity, left one individual injured and caused widespread panic among residents.

The case has been registered under Section 326(g) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (mischief endangering public safety), Section 4 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, and Section 3 of the Explosive Substances Act at Prashant Vihar police station, according to an officer.
Currently, the suspects remain unidentified, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend those responsible for planting or discarding the explosive material at the site, the officer added.
Over a dozen teams from the Special Cell, Crime Branch, and local police have reviewed CCTV footage from the area but have yet to find anything suspicious. Additionally, local residents, sweepers, and security personnel have been questioned as part of the investigation.
Authorities are also exploring the possibility that the blast was accidental, potentially caused by a lit ‘beedi’ butt discarded by a three-wheeler driver parked nearby. The driver, identified as Chetan Kushwaha, sustained minor injuries in the incident.
The area remains cordoned off, with police maintaining round-the-clock surveillance.

During their investigation, police recovered a white powder from the blast site.
The explosion occurred near a sweet shop close to a park, approximately 500 metres from the CRPF school where a powerful blast had damaged a wall on October 20.
Investigators suspect a connection between the two incidents, as white powder was found at both sites, a senior officer stated.
