Due to the quality education provided in Delhi government schools, 1,074 students have cleared National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate), Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
Kejriwal took to Twitter to share his appreciation for the students, their parents, and teachers, noting that such an achievement would have been unimaginable a few years ago.
“Wow. More than 1000 students from Delhi govt schools qualify NEET. This could not even be imagined just a few years back. Congrats to all students, parents and teachers,” Kejriwal tweeted.

The number of students from Delhi government schools who cleared NEET-UG witnessed a significant increase of over 40% compared to the previous year.
In 2022, 648 students from these schools successfully passed the exam, while in 2021 and 2020, the numbers were 496 and 569 respectively.
The overall number of candidates who qualified the NEET-UG examination this year stood at 11.45 lakh out of 20.38 lakh, representing a 48% increase from the previous year. The top scorers in the exam were Prabanjan J from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh, both achieving a perfect score of 720.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the NEET-UG examination on May 7 at 4,097 centers across 499 cities in India and abroad. NEET-UG serves as the qualifying exam for admission to various medical courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, BHMS, and BSc (H) Nursing. The country offers more than 80,000 MBBS seats in over 540 medical colleges.
