The Delhi University will conduct a minimum of three allocation-cum-admission rounds for its BTech programs in the upcoming academic year, officials said on Tuesday. The first list of seat allocation will be issued on August 2. Depending on the availability of vacant seats, additional rounds may be announced.

The registration process for admissions to the BTech programs started earlier this month for the academic session 2023-24. Initially scheduled to end on July 25 at 11.59 pm, the registration deadline has been extended to July 26.

The University is offering three BTech programs in emerging technology areas: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. These programs are under the Faculty of Technology.

For the first list, unreserved, OBC, and EWS candidates whose names are listed will need to report to the Faculty of Technology for physical verification from August 3 to August 8. SC and ST candidates should report for physical verification on August 7 and August 8. PwBD, CW, KM, Orphan, and Single Girl child students must report for physical verification on August 9.

The second list will be declared on August 1, and candidates who failed to register will get an opportunity to register and upgrade their seats on August 21 and 22.

The third list will be announced on August 23, with the last date for submission of online fees being August 27.

Selection for the BTech programs will be based on the candidates’ Joint Entrance Examination (Mains) rank.

Candidates need to pay a one-time non-refundable registration-cum-allocation fee. Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes-Non Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates will pay Rs 1,500, while Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will pay a registration fee of Rs 1,200.
