Alka Bhrushundi presents an exhibition of paintings that beautifully portray the profound concept of the human journey through elevated thoughts, striving to achieve a thought-free state.
Her work mostly reflects her profound understanding of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Reiki.
“It is an attempt to showcase a journey that every individual must undertake. While our physical human bodies are the same, our life stories and journeys are unique and distinct. This human journey goes beyond the physical realm; it is a mental voyage of constant growth and evolution of our minds and thoughts, says Alka Bhrushundi.”
Alka Bhrushundi, a Delhi-based artist, was raised in Pune, a city known for its rich cultural heritage. Her early interest and talent in the arts were nurtured by a spiritual environment. While she initially explored colors, shapes, lines, and forms through fashion design, it was traditional paintings that truly opened the doors to the magnificent world of art for her.
Alka’s artwork beautifully depicts the Divine through gods and goddesses from Hindu mythology, starting with the aspect of the Divine that has form and attributes (Sagun Sakar).
In recent years, her work has gone beyond the boundaries of the symbolic and tangible, expressing the formless and attribute-less aspect (Nirgun Nirakar).
Her earlier solo exhibitions, “Brahmachaitnya: The Cosmos of Consciousness” and “Santulan: The Balance,” captured glimpses of the universe both within and around us, focusing on the balance in nature and the connection between body and mind.
Continuing her journey into the mystical realm of the mind through art, Alka Bhrushundi presents her new series of works to the delhiites : “Yatrik: The Traveller.” The exhibition will be live for the viewers for a span of seven days.
