Debadhara Delhi, organisation of Odissi dance established in 2003 by Guru Dr Binayak Panda, presents the 9th Bharat Utsav at the C. D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre. The event will be held on July 6 and 7, starting at 6:30 PM each evening.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the 9th Bharat Utsav continues the legacy of Late Guru Debaprasad Das and celebrates the concept of unity in diversity by bringing together various Indian classical dance forms on one stage. Debadhara Delhi has organised 34 festivals in India and abroad, promoting Indian classical dance and cultural heritage.
On July 6, the festival will feature Ankita Kumari performing Odissi, Roopa Kiran from Hong Kong performing Bharatanatyam, Yamini Reddy performing Kuchipudi, Shinjini Kulkarni performing Kathak, and the Debadhara group performing Odissi.
On July 7, the performances will include Eishita Ojha and Nischita Paikaray performing Odissi, Gururaju N. performing Kuchipudi, Bhadra Sinha and Gayathri Sharma performing a Bharatanatyam duet, Deepti Gupta performing Kathak, and another performance by the Debadhara group in Odissi.
Entry to the festival is free, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
