Speaking about her artistic journey, Banerjee said, “My work aims to reinterpret the simplistic elements of Mithila’s folk art by incorporating them into contemporary visual language. This fusion allows me to express emotions and traditions in a modern context”.
Banerjee’s style is characterised by intricate detailing and multiple layers, which reflect both her deep connection to Mithila’s artistic heritage and her proficiency in contemporary techniques. Her ability to blend traditional Bangal and Mithila elements with modern mediums creates a unique artistic expression.
