A curated showcase of Bengal’s craft, textiles and design traditions will be held in south Delhi next week, with the Bengal Bazaar opening at Padmini Enclave, Hauz Khas, from February 13 to 15. The three-day lifestyle bazaar brings together textile practitioners, designers and craft-led brands rooted in Bengal’s material traditions, offering visitors a mix of traditional and reinterpreted weaves, contemporary clothing, accessories and functional design objects. Food stalls will feature regional Bengali flavours and lesser-known culinary specialities.
Textiles form a central focus, with Jamdani, Tant and kantha-based practices represented across multiple labels. Rimil Design will present fusion wear drawing on Jamdani and Tant weaves, positioned as everyday luxury clothing. Karma Ashrama, based in Santiniketan, will showcase artisanal textiles shaped by Rabindranath Tagore’s craft philosophy, emphasising sustainability and skill-building among local women.
Hand-embroidery and women-led craft initiatives are another key aspect. Needle will present hand-embroidered fashion accessories created by rural women using kantha techniques, while The Bindi Project will feature limited-edition, handcrafted bindis made with a zero-waste approach and centred on themes of empowerment and femininity.

Emerging labels and contemporary craft-led design are also part of the bazaar. UJBUK by Swarup Dutta will display functional and playful objects developed with craftspeople, highlighting imperfection and traditional processes. Goddess of Glocal will showcase affordable couture blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics, while WRII will present minimalist ethnic wear featuring hand-embroidery and block printing on breathable fabrics.
The bazaar is positioned as a cultural gathering where visitors can experience Bengal’s visual, material and culinary heritage.
