Sahitya Kala Parishad, the Art, and Cultural Wing of the Delhi Government announces the much-awaited return of the annual Bharatmuni Rang Utsav. Set to enchant audiences from January 22 to January 25 at the LTG Auditorium, Mandi House, this four-day extravaganza aims to spotlight hidden talents in the theatrical realm, providing a nurturing platform for their growth.
Each day will feature four solo or group acts, promising a diverse and enriching cultural experience. The festival will be inaugurated by Saurabh Bhardwaj, Minister of Art, Culture, and Language, Delhi Government.
Day 1:
The festival commences with ‘Mrija’, written and directed by Tapobrati Das Samaddar, followed by ‘Pyaaz Ke Phool‘, written by Priyam Jani and directed by Sakshi Sunil Chauhan.
The lineup continues with ‘Uske Sath’ (A Truth of a Girl), scripted and directed by Alok Shukla, concluding the evening with ‘Kissa Lightum Light‘, penned by Harishankar Parsai and directed by Yogesh Kumar Pandey.
Day 2:
Day two features the play ‘Espresso’, scripted by Somyabrat Bhattacharya and directed by Shilpi Marwaha, followed by ‘Bebaak Manto’, written by Saadat Hasan Manto and directed by Anil Sharma.
The evening unfolds with ‘Bijuka’, a creation by Satyajit Ray and Rajesh Bali, directed by Rajesh Bali, culminating with ‘Bimb’, written by Vijaydan Detha and directed by Naveen Diwakar.
Day 3:
On day 3, the spotlight falls on ‘Ek Cup Chai‘, written by Dr Kiran Singh and directed by Rajesh Tiwari, followed by ‘Dhoop Ka Ek Tukda’, authored by Nirmal Verma and directed by Pooja Dhiyani. The artistic journey continues with ‘Baarish,’ written by Saadat Hasan Manto and directed by Vijay Shrivastava, concluding with ‘Jebkatra’, scripted by Saadat Hasan Manto and directed by Javed Sameer (Sameeruddin).
Day 4:
The grand finale unfolds with ‘Dil Ki Duniya’, written by Ismat Chughtai and directed by Aryashree Arya, followed by ‘Audition,’ written by Dr Harisuman Bisht and directed by Sanjeev Agnihotri. The evening progresses with ‘Last Performance,’ a creation of Anton Chekhov directed by Avinash Tiwari, and culminates with ‘Bojh’, a production written by Pawan Jha and directed by Shiva Kunder.
