Bhartendu Natya Utsav 2025, organised by Sahitya Kala Parishad under the Department of Art, Culture & Languages, Government of Delhi, will take place from March 17 to 19, at LTG Auditorium, Mandi House. The three-day festival will feature theatrical productions from the past year, with performances scheduled at 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM each day.
The festival will be inaugurated by Minister Kapil Mishra, who will attend as the Chief Guest.
The event will open on March 17 with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a historical drama written and directed by Varun Sharma and staged by Theatre Leela Acting Studio. The play, scheduled for 7:00 PM, will depict the life of the Maratha leader.
On March 18, two plays will be staged. Kanyadaan, written by Vijay Tendulkar and directed by Amool Sagar, will be performed by Black Pearl Arts at 3:30 PM. The play addresses themes of caste, gender, and family relationships. At 7:00 PM, Rani Nagfani Ki Kahani, a satirical play written by Harishankar Parsai and directed by Surendra Sharma, will be performed by Rang Saptak.

The final day, March 19, will include Darjeeling Venom at 3:30 PM, written and directed by Divyanshu Kumar and performed by Kshitij Theatre Group. The last play of the festival, Saiyyan Bhaye Kotwal, written by Vasant Sabnis, translated by Usha Banerjee, and directed by Basab Bhattacharya, will be staged at 7:00 PM by the New Delhi Performers Cultural & Dramatic Society.
Speaking about the event, Minister Kapil Mishra said, “Bhartendu Natya Utsav 2025 highlights the role of theatre in cultural expression. The festival will bring together performances from the past year, providing a platform for artists.”
Bhartendu Natya Utsav 2025 aims to bring theatre artists and audiences together. Entry to the festival is free, and performances will be held at LTG Auditorium, Mandi House.
