New Delhi is set to host a special evening on Monday, July 15, 2024, to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of the legendary singer Talat Mahmood. The event, organised by Media Net Works in collaboration with Jashn-E-Talat by Sahar Zaman, will take place at Kamani Auditorium, starting at 7 PM.
The program will feature a mix of music, literature, and dance. Singer Amrish Mishra will perform Talat Mahmood’s timeless classics. Sahar Zaman, Talat Mahmood‘s grandniece and author of “Talat Mahmood: The Definitive Biography,” will share insights into his life and legacy. The Moving Souls dance group will present a performance inspired by Talat Mahmood’s era.
The event will be graced by notable guests, including Padmashri Shobha Deepak Singh, Vice Chairperson of SBKK, and Deepak Singh, Chairman of SBKK.
Organiser Sudesh Chawla expressed excitement about the event, highlighting its significance in honouring Talat Mahmood’s contribution to Indian music.

Ravi Rastogi, lead dancer of Moving Souls, expressed his honour in participating and his hope to do justice to Talat Mahmood’s legacy through their performance.
The event is open to all and promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Talat Mahmood’s lasting impact on Indian music.
