Dear Kundun: Children’s art exhibition to mark Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday

Through their art, they express gratitude and love for the Dalai Lama, showing how his message continues to guide and inspire new generations

An international exhibition titled Dear Kundun will open in New Delhi this week to celebrate the 90th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama through the eyes of Tibetan children. Featuring paintings and multimedia artworks, the show presents heartfelt tributes by young artists who honour his life, teachings, and enduring legacy.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday, July 4, at 6:30 PM and will remain open to the public from July 5 to 15, daily between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.

Organised in collaboration with the Foundation for Universal Responsibility of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Khadok: Tibetan Arts’ Collective, Dear Kundun highlights the deep admiration Tibetan children feel for the spiritual leader. Through their art, they express gratitude and love, reflecting how his message of compassion, peace, and wisdom continues to guide and inspire new generations.

Organisers said the exhibition aims to bring forward the voices of Tibetan youth and celebrate the spiritual connection they share with His Holiness. Each artwork serves as a reminder of his influence, not only as a religious leader but as a symbol of hope and resilience for Tibetans around the world.
