The Delhi government’s annual children’s cultural festival, Natkhat Utsav 2025, will open this evening at the All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society (AIFACS), Rafi Marg. The four-day event will run until June 26, celebrating the artistic talents of students from Delhi government schools.
Organised by the Sahitya Kala Parishad in collaboration with the Directorate of Education and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), the festival marks the culmination of summer workshops conducted across 44 centres. More than 2,000 students were trained in music, dance, theatre, and fine arts.
Each discipline had 11 dedicated centres to ensure focused learning and mentorship. Over 550 students submitted artworks, and selected pieces will be displayed in an art exhibition open to the public from June 24 to 26, between 11 am and 7 pm. The festival also features live performances in Indian classical and contemporary dance, music, and theatre by the most promising participants.
Speaking ahead of the opening, Delhi’s Minister for Art, Culture and Languages, Kapil Mishra said, “Cultural activities in government schools not only build confidence in students but also give direction to their innate talents. Natkhat Utsav has now become a celebration of emerging creative voices across the city.”

Vineet Paliwal, Programme Officer at Sahitya Kala Parishad, added, “Each year, Natkhat Utsav becomes a journey of discovery and joy—not just for the students, but also for their mentors and the audiences.”
A special photo exhibition will give visitors a glimpse into the workshops and the students’ creative journey. A commemorative souvenir has also been released to mark the 2025 edition.
Now in its 40th year, Natkhat Utsav remains a vibrant platform for showcasing young talent and nurturing creativity in Delhi’s government schools.
