Pracheen Kala Kendra, one of India’s leading institutions for classical arts, will present the 28th edition of its Quarterly Baithak as part of the popular ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ series. The event will take place on Saturday, June 7, at 6:30 PM at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, New Delhi.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, the programme will feature both classical music and dance performances.
The evening will begin with a vocal recital by Vidushi Nila Sinha Roy, who will be joined by Shri Mihir Natta on tabla and Shri Lalit Sisodiya on harmonium.
This will be followed by a Bharatanatyam dance performance by Vidushi Sudha Jagannath and her troupe. She will also lead the nattuvangam (traditional rhythmic accompaniment). The group includes Shri Venkateshwaran Kuppuswamy on vocals, Shri Vignesh Jayaraman on mridangam, and Shri Aravindh Narayanan on violin.
“We’ve been holding these Baithaks for a few years now, and this is the 28th one,” said Sajal Koser, Secretary of Pracheen Kala Kendra. “Our goal is to keep classical music and dance alive by giving a platform to talented and upcoming artists.”
The Quarterly Baithak series has become a well-loved event for classical music and dance lovers in the city, known for its intimate setting and focus on quality performances.
Entry is free for all and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
