The International Creative Arts Centre (ICAC) is set to present Present Future, an exhibition that brings together 50 contemporary artists shaping the trajectory of Indian art. Curated by Urvashi K, the exhibition will run from March 11 to 15, at Bikaner House.
Featuring a mix of established names and emerging talents, Present Future offers a glimpse into India’s evolving art scene. The works on display, drawn from the esteemed collection of Ravindra Mardia, represent artists who are redefining contemporary Indian art with their distinctive narratives and techniques. The exhibition aims to highlight how present-day artists are laying the foundation for the future of Indian art, making it a significant cultural milestone.
The exhibition includes a formidable lineup of senior and mid-career artists, whose works have gained recognition both in India and internationally. Some of the featured names include Achuthan Kudallur, Anupam Sud, Avijit Dutta, Bose Krishnamachari, Chandra Bhattacharjee, Jeram Patel, K. Khosa, Manish Pushkale, Niren Sengupta, Prabhakar Kolte, Prem Singh, R. B. Bhaskaran, Ritu Singh, Seema Kohli, and Sudip Roy.
Complementing these seasoned artists is a carefully curated selection of emerging talents, many of whom are already making a mark in the art world. Among them are Laxman Gore, Hemant Dhane, Pisurwo (Jitendra Suralkar), Manish Rao, and Bhuval Prasad. Their works explore contemporary themes and experimental techniques, offering a fresh perspective on Indian art.
The exhibition will open with an exclusive preview, bringing together artists, collectors and critics for an evening of discussion and appreciation.
