IndiGalleria marks a significant shift from digital to physical presence with Sapiens, a group exhibition that gathers seventeen contemporary artists in a single, resonant visual conversation. On view at Kalamkar, Bikaner House from December 5 to 14, the show presents a spectrum of figurative, semi-abstract, and abstract works that examine how humans perceive, remember, and inhabit the world.
Curated by Aakshat Sinha with Harmandeep Keerti as co-curator, Sapiens is shaped by an intent to listen closely to artistic voices rooted in diverse geographies and personal histories. “My role,” says Aakshat, “is simply to create a frame — one where these narratives can breathe and intersect.”
The roster includes artists from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Belgaum, Bhubaneswar, Bihar, Singapore, and beyond — each bringing a distinct language through acrylics, oils, watercolours, mixed media, and experimental formats. The result is a collective yet deeply individual mapping of identity, memory, and the contemporary human condition.
For IndiGalleria, the exhibition is a milestone. “With Sapiens, we reaffirm our belief that art must be accessible and transformative,” says founder Shashank Maurya. “It reflects our mission to bring mindful, original art closer to people.”

As the gallery expands its physical footprint after years of online curation and global showcases, Sapiens becomes both a celebration and a statement — an invitation to pause, reflect, and witness how art mirrors shared existence.
