TerraFest, a festival dedicated to India’s centuries-old terracotta craft, will return for its 10th edition from October 3 to 7 at the Amphitheatre, Triveni Kala Sangam, in the capital.
Presented by the Delhi Blue Pottery Trust, the festival will bring together more than 25 artisans from Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
Since its inception in 2015, TerraFest has emerged as a unique platform to sustain and promote terracotta traditions at a time when industrialisation and modern materials pose challenges to the craft’s survival. Over the years, it has connected artisans with collectors, cultural enthusiasts and the wider public through a blend of exhibition and marketplace.
Terracotta, an integral part of India’s cultural heritage for millennia, has given form to cooking vessels, votive objects, sculptures, jewellery and everyday artefacts. The 2025 edition of the festival will feature both traditional and contemporary expressions of the craft.
Highlights will include animal motif tiles from Odisha, intricately painted works from Gujarat, traditional cooking vessels and decorative sculptures, alongside new-age reinterpretations of age-old forms. Visitors will be able to interact directly with artisans, learn about their stories and take home handcrafted pieces rooted in India’s living heritage.

“TerraFest is not just about objects; it is about sustaining livelihoods, keeping traditions alive and ensuring terracotta remains a vibrant part of India’s cultural landscape,” the organisers said in a statement.
