Chawla Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Delhi Art Society and Calcutta Sculptors, is set to host The Forces of Imagination, a group exhibition featuring works by renowned Indian sculptors. Curated by Shibani Chawla and Nanak Ganguly, the exhibition will run from December 19 to 31, at the Visual Arts Gallery and Open Court, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. It will then continue at the Chawla Art Gallery, Square One Mall, Saket, from January 1 to 31.
The exhibition showcases sculptures by prominent artists, including Neeraj Gupta, Tapas Sarkar, Vibhor Sogani, Ratan Krishna Saha, Somnath Chakraborty, and Debabrata De. Visitors can expect to see a variety of mediums such as bronze, marble, stainless steel, wood, and aluminium, reflecting the diversity and depth of contemporary Indian sculpture.
According to the organisers, the exhibition explores the intersection of tradition and modernity, presenting transformative artworks that challenge norms while celebrating the evolving nature of Indian art. Each piece tells a unique story, offering insight into the emotions, creativity, and processes of the artists.

Highlights include Neeraj Gupta’s intricate marble sculptures, Vibhor Sogani’s striking stainless-steel installations, and Tapas Sarkar’s captivating works in bronze. These creations not only showcase technical mastery but also delve into themes of modern life, blending heritage with contemporary influences.
The exhibition is open to the public from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at both venues.
