All India Public Sector T20 tourney to begin from Thursday

The week-long tournament will feature 13 public sector teams and will be played in Gurugram

The All India Public Sector T20 Cricket Tournament 2023 is set to begin on Thursday with defending champions Bank of Baroda taking on Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Reserve Bank of India facing Oriental Insurance in the first matches of the day which begin at noon. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will play Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation and Coal India will take on Central Warehousing Corporation in Thursday’s afternoon matches.

The tournament will be played in a cricket facility with two grounds in Baliawas, Gurugram and the final is slated to be held on October 4.

The tournament features 13 teams from public sector organisations. They are divided into four group. Groups A, B and C have three teams while Group D has four teams.

There will be four matches every day with two matches on each of the two grounds.

The first match will begin at 12 noon while the second match will start at 4.30 pm.

Many top domestic as well as IPL cricketers, working with public sector undertakings, will be participating in the event.

The tournament will be hosted by Bank of Baroda in collaboration with the All India Public Sector Sports Control Board (AIPSSCB).

Group A: Bank of Baroda, Mazagon Duck, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited

Group B: Reserve Bank of India, Oriental Insurance, Union Bank of India

Group C: Coal India, Food Corporation of India, Central Warehousing Corporation

Group D: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, NLC India Limited, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited
