Last week’s Delhi and District Cricket Association’s one-day league (40-overs) saw impressive performances from Delhi Ranji players like Pradeep Sangwan and Hiten Dalal. Here’s a look at the teams and performers

Delhi Ranji Trophy player Hiten Dalal hammered 219 runs in 127 balls to help Kashmiri Gate Colts beat Air India Sports by 71 runs at the St Stephen’s ground in a Super Elite-1 game.

Delhi batsman Hiten Dalal led Kashmiri Gate Colts to a win with a double ton while Delhi left-arm pacer Pradeep Sangwan put up an impressive all-round show for Sporting Club. Among others, Rajnigandha, Sonnex, Citizen, Paragon, Golden Eagle, Young Delhi Sports Club, Essex Farms and Canara Bank won.

Hiten Dalal smashes double

Delhi Ranji Trophy player Hiten Dalal hammered 219 runs in 127 balls to help Kashmiri Gate Colts beat Air India Sports by 71 runs at the St Stephen’s ground in a Super Elite-1 game. The right-handed batsman spanked 17 fours and 17 sixes. Harish Dagar hit 80 and took one wicket for 21 runs while Aditya Kumar took three wickets for 49 runs.

Brief scores: Kashmiri Gate Colts 345/3 in 40 overs (Hiten Dalal 219, Aditya Kumar 80, Mayank Yadav 2/63) beat Air India Sports Board 274/8 in 40 overs (Manish Yadav 69 not out, Rohit Prakash 57, Shafiq Khan 56, Hiten Dalal 3/49, Harish Dagar 1/21 by 71 runs.

Pradeep Sangwan puts on all-round show

Delhi Ranji Trophy team’s left-arm pacer Pradeep Sangwan hit 75 not out and took 3/25 while Shivam Gupta hit 61 and Deepak Kumar (2/23) as well as Sparsh Beniwal (2/24) took two wickets apiece to help Sporting Club beat RPCA by nine wickets at the Haryana Cricket Academy ground in a Premier-1 group.

Deepanshu, Shivam take Rajnigandha to victory

Deepanshu Phore’s all-round show (5/31 and 39) as well as half-century by right-handed batsman Shivam Singh (63 not out) helped Rajnigandha Club beat City Gymkhana by 27 runs at City Gymkhana ground in an Elite-2 group game.

Krish, Lakshay star for Sonnex

Half-century as well as a three-wicket haul by right-handed batsman Krish Gaur (66 and 3/23) as well as a fifty by Lakshay Rawat (50 not out) helped Sonnex Club beat Radhey Shyam Club by eight wickets at the Talent Hunt Ground in an Elite-1 group game.

Dipul shines as Citizen prevail

All-round performance by left-arm spinner Dipul Jaswan (4/24 and 30 not out) helped Citizen CC beat Rani Bagh Club by one wicket at the Chhattar Singh Ground in an Elite-2 group game.

Paragon crush Lal Bahadur Shastri

Right arm pacer Naveen Kumar’s four for 18 helped Paragon CC beat Lal Bahadur Shastri Sports Coaching Centre by 10 wickets at the Chhattar Singh Stadium in a Super Elite-1 group game.

Brief scores: Lal Bahadur Shastri 70 all out in 28 overs (Rupesh 28, Naveen Kumar 4/18, Himanshu Choudhary 2/12) lost to Paragon CC 71 without loss in 9.3 overs (Kashish Singh 31 not out, Harshit Aneja 27 not out) by 10 wickets.

Akshay hits ton

Delhi under-19 player Akshay Singh hammered 112 and Manthan hit 58 while Yuvraj Sangwan (4/26) and Anirudh Sharma (4/35) took four wickets apiece to help Golden Eagle Club beat Jat Heroes by 229 runs in an Elite-4 group game at the Chhattar Singh Stadium.

Brief scores: Golden Eagle 333/7 in 40 overs (Akshay Singh 112, Manthan 58, Manish Panchal 2/72) beat Jat heroes 104 all out in 35 overs (Siddhant Dev 38, Yuvraj Sangwan 4/26, Anirudh Sharma 4/35) by 229 runs

Zeeshan, Garvit slam centuries

Zeeshan Mehwati (153 not out) and Garvit Chhabra (101) hit centuries while Mohit Rana’s 4/41 helped Young Delhi Sports Club beat Kranti Star Club by 21 runs in an Elite-2 group game at MCG.

Off-spinner Himanshu Bhati’s 4/10, Bhavya Deep’s 3/22 and Amit Sharma’s 66 not out helped Essex Farms beat Mishra Sports Club by seven wickets in an Elite-3 group game at MCG.

Right-arm pacer Gaurav Punia’s 4/28 and Khushagra Chiibra’s 3/21 helped Canara Bank beat I&B ministry by three wickets in a Super Plate game at the Talent Hunt Ground.

Ajay shines in TOI win

All-round performance by left-arm spinner Ajay Gulia (4/33 and 55 not out) and Shivam Kanojia’s 55 as well as Madhur Yadav’s 49 helped Times of India (TOI) beat Tilak Nagar Colts by 12 runs in a Super Elite-1 game at the Haryana Cricket Academy ground.

Delhi Audit triumph as Ankur shines

Right-handed batsman Ankur Jhulka’s 128 not out and Abhinav’s 2/39 helped Delhi Audit beat Rohtak Road Gymkhana by four wickets at the Shivaji College ground in a Premier-2 group game.
