Nothing Phone 3a series set to launch today: Expected price, specs, and features

The highly anticipated Nothing Phone 3a series is set to make its debut in India today. Prior to the official launch, Nothing unveiled both the Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro at MWC 2025, giving tech enthusiasts a glimpse of the design. Akis Evangelidis, the co-founder of Nothing and newly appointed President of Nothing India, showcased the devices at Qualcomm’s booth, confirming the chipset details. While the company has yet to reveal the complete specifications, today’s launch event will provide all the necessary insights.

Nothing Phone 3a Series Launch Details

The official unveiling of the Nothing Phone 3a series is scheduled for 3:30 PM IST. The devices will be available for purchase via Flipkart, though the exact sale date will be confirmed at the event.

Expected Pricing in India

Phone 3a is expected to start at Rs 24,999 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. A higher-end model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage may be priced at Rs 28,999.

The premium Nothing Phone 3a Pro is rumored to launch at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, while the top-tier 12GB+256GB version could cost Rs 35,999.

For comparison, the previous Nothing Phone 2a was introduced at Rs 23,999, while the 2a Plus started at Rs 27,999. The price increase suggests an upgrade in features and specifications for the upcoming 3a series.

Expected Specifications and Features

Phone 3a series is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, a notable shift from the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro found in its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2a. Both models are expected to house a 5,000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Memory and Storage Options:

Nothing Phone 3a: Available in 8GB and 12GB RAM options with 128GB or 256GB storage.

Nothing Phone 3a Pro: Expected to launch in a single 12GB+256GB configuration.

Camera Setup:

Rear Cameras: Both models may feature a triple-lens setup, including a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS. The Phone 3a is rumored to support 2x optical zoom, while the Pro variant may offer 3x optical zoom.

Front Camera: The phones might include a 32MP selfie shooter, whereas the Pro model is expected to feature a high-resolution 50MP front camera.

Display:

Both phones could sport a 6.77-inch flat LTPS AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 3,000 nits.

A centrally placed punch-hole cutout is expected for the front camera, and the screen is likely to be protected by Panda Glass.

Unique Features and Design

One of the standout features of the latest series is the introduction of an “Essential Key” on the right side. This button is expected to provide quick access to Essential Space, an AI-driven hub where users can store screenshots, voice notes, social media saves, and more.

Additional features may include IP64-rated dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4 support. The Pro model is also expected to be slightly heavier than the standard version by around 10 grams.
