What to Expect from the OnePlus 13
The OnePlus 13, with its Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, is expected to rival devices like the iQOO 13 and Realme GT7 Pro. The design has undergone significant changes, shifting from the curved edges of the OnePlus 12 to a sleeker, flat-sided build. It retains the circular rear camera module featuring three lenses, and despite a larger 6,000mAh battery, the phone is both slimmer and lighter.
The 6.82-inch display offers QHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screen also supports glove compatibility and dynamic local refresh rate. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, it promises up to 45% better performance than its predecessor. The device runs on OxygenOS 15, integrating Google’s Gemini AI.
The OnePlus 13 will feature a triple-camera setup co-engineered with Hasselblad. It includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor, all capable of recording 4K video. The front camera is a 32MP unit with AI enhancements. With the larger 6,000mAh battery, the OnePlus 13 promises nearly two full days of usage.
What to Expect from the OnePlus 13R
The OnePlus 13R will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a major upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the OnePlus 12R. As part of the R series, it will feature several AI-driven functionalities such as AI Notes, AI Cleanup, AI Imaging, Intelligent Search, and Snapshot camera features.
The 13R will also come with a substantial 6,000mAh battery, an improvement over the previous 5,500mAh unit. It supports SuperVOOC fast charging, with speculation around a 100W charging speed. The device is expected to feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display and a 50MP triple rear camera setup.
