Samsung launches Galaxy M17 with Exynos 1330, AI features

New mid-range smartphone offers large sAMOLED display, long-lasting battery, and six years of updates

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy M17, the latest addition to its popular Monster series. Powered by the Exynos 1330 chipset, the new device also comes with several AI-powered features aimed at enhancing user experience.

The Galaxy M17 sports a 6.7-inch sAMOLED display with FullHD+ resolution, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The screen can reach a peak brightness of 1,100 nits. The dual-SIM smartphone is IP54-rated for dust and splash resistance, measures just 7.5mm in thickness, and weighs 192 grams.

Running on OneUI 7 based on Android out of the box, Samsung has committed to providing six years of OS updates and security patches. The phone also offers features such as Gemini Live, Google Circle to Search, Voice Mail, Knox Vault, and Voice Focus.

In terms of photography, the rear of the Galaxy M17 features an elliptical camera module housing a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro shooter. On the front, a 13MP selfie camera is housed in a teardrop notch. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi. The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging.

The Galaxy M17 comes in two colour options – Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at Rs 12,499, while the 6GB and 8GB RAM models are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,499, respectively.

The phone goes on sale from October 13 and will be available on Samsung’s official website, select retail stores, and Amazon. Customers can also avail interest-free EMI options of up to three months on select credit and debit cards.
