Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy Z Flip 7, its latest clamshell-style foldable smartphone, at a global event on Wednesday. The device was unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, marking a new chapter in Samsung’s foldable portfolio.
Running on Android 16-based One UI 8, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 introduces several design and hardware upgrades. It becomes one of the first Samsung phones powered by the 3nm Exynos 2500 chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.
Key specifications
The Flip 7 features a 4.1-inch edge-to-edge Super AMOLED cover display, replacing the folder-style panel seen in the Flip 6. The main foldable screen remains a 6.9-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, with both screens offering 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The cover screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The device is slimmer and lighter, measuring 6.5mm thick when unfolded and 13.7mm when folded, with a total weight of 188 grams.
Camera and AI tools
On the camera front, the Flip 7 features a dual rear system with a 50MP main sensor (2x optical-quality zoom) and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, while the 10MP selfie camera sits on the inner display. The phone also debuts Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, offering AI-powered photo editing and enhancements.
