The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a relief from warm weather as Delhi is expected to experience light rainfall on Friday.
According to the IMD, the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 17.5 degrees Celsius, while the relative humidity was recorded at 66% around 8:30 am.
The maximum temperature, which has been persisting around 35 degrees Celsius for the past few days, is likely to settle at 30 degrees Celsius.
The IMD official further added that Delhi is expected to have cloudy skies with light rain throughout the day.
The air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at 185 in the moderate category by the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) at 9 am. SAFAR measures AQI on a scale of 0 to 500, where an AQI between 0-50 is considered good, 51-100 is satisfactory, 101-200 is moderate, 201-300 is poor, 301-400 is very poor, and 401-500 is severe.
