Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday boasted that the AAP government has erected 31 flyovers in the city over the past nine years, alongside offering an array of benefits to its citizens.
At the inauguration of a newly constructed three-lane flyover at Moti Nagar, Kejriwal emphasised its potential to alleviate commuters’ travel woes and mitigate traffic congestion.
“This flyover is a testament to our commitment to easing traffic congestion. Since assuming office, we’ve overseen the construction of approximately 31 flyovers. In just nine years, we’ve surpassed the accomplishments of previous administrations spanning 75 years. It’s a testament to our dedication,” he remarked.
Kejriwal underscored the AAP government’s efforts in providing a myriad of benefits to citizens, ranging from complimentary electricity to quality education.
“Our government schools have transcended socioeconomic barriers, ensuring equitable education for all. By enhancing government hospitals and establishing mohalla clinics, we’ve revolutionised healthcare accessibility. Additionally, our initiative to offer complimentary bus rides to women has empowered them,” he added. (With inputs from PTI)
