Apple has unveiled its latest 14-inch MacBook Pro in India, featuring the company’s next-generation M5 Apple Silicon chip. The new processor marks a significant leap in performance, with Apple claiming up to 3.5 times faster on-device AI capability compared with the previous M4 chip.
The M5 chip introduces an upgraded GPU and a neural accelerator integrated into each core, designed to boost machine learning tasks and on-device AI processing. According to Apple, the chip also enhances CPU efficiency, improves graphics rendering, and increases memory bandwidth, making it well suited for intensive workloads such as running large language models (LLMs) locally. SSD speeds have also been improved to ensure faster file transfers and quicker app launches.
The new 14-inch MacBook Pro is available for pre-order and will go on sale in India from October 22. It will be offered in Space Black and Silver colour options, and sold both online and through Apple’s retail outlets in Delhi (Saket), Mumbai (BKC), Bengaluru (Hebbal), and Pune (Koregaon).
In India, the MacBook Pro with a standard display starts at Rs 1,69,900 for the 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration, while higher-end variants with up to 32GB RAM and 4TB SSD go up to Rs 3,29,900. The nano-texture display version begins at Rs 1,84,900 and extends to Rs 3,44,900, depending on configuration. The laptop is available in 16GB, 24GB, and 32GB memory options with storage capacities ranging from 512GB to 4TB.
Customers can avail a cashback of Rs 10,000 on select bank cards and opt for no-cost EMI plans for up to 12 months. Apple is also offering optional pre-installed software add-ons — Final Cut Pro for Rs 29,900 and Logic Pro for Rs 19,900.

The new MacBook Pro features a 14.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a native resolution of 3024×1964 pixels, ProMotion adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz, and peak brightness of 1600 nits in HDR. It runs on macOS 26 Tahoe and is equipped with a high-fidelity six-speaker sound system, a 12MP Centre Stage camera, and a 72.4Wh battery. The laptop supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and ships with a 70W charger, with a 96W option available.
Weighing 1.55 kg, the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip is positioned as Apple’s most powerful and efficient portable computer yet, aimed at professionals working with AI, graphics, and high-performance creative software.
