A group exhibition titled Art Maestros, presented by Rare Luxury, is underway at the Rare Luxury Art Gallery, Hauz Khas Market, and will continue till June 25.
Curated as an exclusive showcase of modern and contemporary Indian masters, the exhibition brings together seminal works by Surendran Nair, Jyoti Bhatt, Sakti Burman, and Thota Vaikuntam, along with select pieces from other artists in the Rare Luxury collection.
The exhibition presents a wide spectrum of visual languages rooted in mythology, folk traditions, memory, and contemporary imagination. Surendran Nair’s layered, allegorical compositions draw from classical narratives and modern absurdities, while Jyoti Bhatt’s practice reflects a deep engagement with Indian folk and tribal art, expressed through painting, printmaking, and photography.

Sakti Burman’s dreamlike canvases evoke a poetic world where fantasy, memory, and mythology merge into fluid narratives, while Thota Vaikuntam’s vivid figurative works capture the cultural essence of Telangana through bold depictions of women and rural life.
The exhibition reflects Rare Luxury’s curatorial vision of bringing together influential artistic voices in a single space, creating a dialogue between tradition and contemporary practice while offering collectors and art enthusiasts an opportunity to engage with landmark works of Indian art.
The show, which began with a preview on June 20, is currently open to visitors.
