A Delhi Police head constable has been booked for allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marriage after a court directed registration of an FIR, sources said on Tuesday.
The FIR was registered at Burari police station following a complaint by the woman, who alleged that the accused had been in a live-in relationship with her and repeatedly established physical relations with her on the promise of marrying her before refusing to do so, they said.
According to the sources, both the accused and the complainant are married and were living separately from their respective families.
The woman approached the court, which directed the police to register an FIR.

The head constable has been “line attached” after the registration of the FIR, the sources said.
