A cervical cancer screening camp was held at Central Jail Number 06, where 265 prisoners over the age of 35 participated, according to an official statement released on Monday.

The screening camp, organized by Delhi Prisons, took place on May 18 in collaboration with AIIMS and the Savera Foundation Trust.

The event was attended by Director General (Prisons) Satish Golcha, along with a distinguished team of doctors from AIIMS, as stated in the release.

Emphasizing the importance of ongoing efforts to ensure timely diagnosis, treatment, and management of preventive diseases among inmates, Golcha remarked that this camp exemplifies the commitment of Delhi Prisons and its partners to the health and well-being of inmates, highlighting the importance of preventive healthcare measures in correctional facilities.
