Delhi has experienced two consecutive days of poor air quality, with pollution levels hitting an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 234 on Monday, as reported by the pollution department.
Following Dussehra, the AQI in Delhi entered the “poor” category on Sunday, recording a reading of 224. This marked the first instance of poor air quality since September 25, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
Additionally, the city registered a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius, which is slightly above the seasonal average. The relative humidity ranged from 75 per cent to 39 per cent, with the minimum temperature recorded at 18.6 degrees Celsius, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather department has predicted a partly cloudy sky for Tuesday, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected to be around 35 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius, respectively.
For reference, an AQI reading between zero and 50 is considered “good”, 51 to 100 “satisfactory”, 101 to 200 “moderate”, 201 to 300 “poor”, 301 to 400 “very poor”, and 401 to 500 “severe”.
