The Delhi Police has released a traffic advisory ahead of an IPL match between the Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad scheduled for Saturday.
According to the advisory, there will be diversion/restriction on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and JLN Marg.
Commuters are advised to steer clear of Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO Chowk, and JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate from 5 PM to 8 PM on Saturday.
Entry to the stadium will be permitted through gate numbers 1 to 8 from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, gate numbers 10 to 15 from JLN Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal, and gate numbers 16 to 18 from Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg near the petrol pump.
Free parking and park-and-ride facilities will be available at Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road.
There will be no parking for the general public near the stadium, except for limited parking space designated for labeled vehicles only. Displaying the car parking label on the windscreen is mandatory, the advisory emphasised.
Spectators arriving via metro can avail shuttle facilities at ITO Metro Station and Pragati Maidan Metro Station. Additionally, park-and-ride facilities are available from Mata Sundari Parking for Gate No 1 to 8 and 16 to 18, and from Rajghat Power House Road and Velodrome Road for Gate No 9 to 15.
All buses from park-and-ride and shuttle facility sites will commence their services two hours before the match and will continue until one hour after the match begins. Similarly, the bus service from the stadium to their respective destinations will commence as soon as the game concludes and will continue for one hour after the match ends, as per the advisory.
