Election results: Taking a dig at those who conducted exit polls, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh on Tuesday said that the exercise is for “deceiving” the administration and the public.
“The survey agencies that conducted the exit poll should apologise to the people of the country. Their exit poll made a huge change in the share market. The exit poll also deceived the administration, public and ECI. I have been saying for the last three days [that] the exit polls are far away from reality. The numbers will be in favour of INDIA by the end of the results,” he said.

Singh’s statement comes on the day INDIA bloc made big gains as counting of votes continue for Lok Sabha elections 2024.
“According to my information, the INDIA alliance is close to 255 seats but by the end of the counting, results will be in favour of the INDIA,” Singh added.
The AAP office at Rouse Avenue bore a deserted look with a monitor showing that the party failed to gain even a single seat across the seven constituencies of Delhi.

Meanwhile, in Punjab where the AAP is in power in the state assembly, the Congress is leading in seven seats and the AAP in three, according to the Election Commission trends.
Congress candidates were leading from Amritsar, Jalandhar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Ferozepur and Ludhiana and the AAP was ahead in Hoshiarpur, Sangrur and Anandpur Sahib, the trends showed.
