Moderate fog enveloped parts of Delhi on Monday morning, accompanied by a minimum temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius, which is two notches below the seasonal average.
At 8:30 am, visibility was limited to 500 meters at both Safdarjung and Palam, with a relative humidity of 99 percent.
However, due to fog, many trains were cancelled and delayed by more than 10 hours in the national capital.
The day is expected to have a partly cloudy sky, and the maximum temperature is projected to reach 21 degrees Celsius.
The Indian Meteorological Department predicts light rain in Delhi on January 31 and February 1 due to a second western disturbance approaching the plains.
Additionally, a wet spell is anticipated over the Western Himalayan Region between January 29 and February 3, leading to rainfall across northern India on January 30 and 31. (With inputs from PTI)
