A private school in Delhi’s RK Puram received an email warning of explosives on premises that later turned out to be a hoax, police officials said.
The school authorities received the email on Wednesday, and it appears they checked it on Thursday before informing the police.
Around 8 am, the bomb squad conducted a thorough search of the premises and found no suspicious items, a senior officer said.
The school had a scheduled exam for 400 students on Thursday, which proceeded without incident following the bomb squad’s inspection.
Notably, in May, the Delhi Public School on Mathura Road also experienced a similar hoax bomb threat.
Additionally, the Indian School in Sadiq Nagar received two bomb threats, one via email on April 12 and the other over the phone in November 2022. Both of these threats were determined to be false alarms. (With inputs from PTI)
