Two young men lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries when their car overturned in the Aman Vihar area, police said.
The authorities stated that the accident occurred due to the driver losing control of the vehicle.
Reports of the incident reached the police around 12:30 pm, prompting a response team to be dispatched immediately.
The occupants of the car were swiftly transported to the hospital, where Sanjay (23) and Ashutosh (22) were tragically pronounced dead upon arrival, according to a police spokesperson. Both individuals hailed from Kishan Vihar.
“The three injured individuals have been identified as Sahil (20), Rashid (18), and Lokesh Singh (23), all residents of the same locality,” the spokesperson confirmed.
An investigation into the matter has been initiated, with the authorities assuring that further details will be disclosed as the probe progresses. (With inputs from PTI)
