The Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb

A heritage walk through the enchanting Mehrauli Archaeological Park will be conducted by Bonny Kusari. It is a treasure trove of history nestled in the heart of Delhi. The Mehrauli Archaeological Park is a rich cultural tapestry of ancient sites havind magnificent ruins.

The walk promises a mesmerising experience for history enthusiasts or even city explorers. Besides connecting with Delhi’s rich heritage while savoring the flavors of chai and snacks.

Monuments to be covered are Jamali Kamali Mosque, Jamali Kamali Tomb, Rajon Ki Baoli, Lodhi era Tombs, Pathan Tombs, Horse Stable, Metcalfe’s Boathouse, Quli Khan’s Tomb among others.

Jamali Kamali Mosque and Tomb, located in the Archaeological Village complex in Mehrauli, Delhi, India, comprise two monuments adjacent to each other; one is the mosque and the other is the tomb of Jamali and Kamali. Their names are tagged together as “Jamali Kamali” for the mosque as well as the tomb since they are buried adjacent to each other. The mosque and the tomb were constructed in 1528-1529, and Jamali was buried in the tomb after his death in 1535.

Mehrauli urban village where the monument is located is approachable from all parts of Delhi by well laid out roads and transport system.
