Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra is organising a three-day Kendra Dance Festival for the capital’s cultural enthusiasts.
Scheduled to take place from May 3 to May 5, 2024, at the prestigious Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi, this festival promises to rejuvenate timeless mythological tales through captivating performances.
Directed by Shobha Deepak Singh and choreographed by Shashidharan Nair, the festival will feature three remarkable productions: Parikrama, Karna, and Meera.
Each performance will showcase intricate choreography, elaborate costumes, and mesmerising music, providing audiences with a profound experience steeped in tradition.
Commencing on Friday, May 3, 2024, with Parikrama, the festival will delve into the intricate cycle of birth and death, symbolised by the Hiranyagarbha or the Golden Egg. On Saturday, May 4, 2024, the spotlight will shine on Karna, offering a poignant portrayal of the Mahabharata character’s quest for acceptance in society. Concluding the festival on Sunday, May 5, 2024, will be Meera, a celebration of the life of the revered saint poetess, known for her profound verses and defiance of societal norms.
