Playback singer Nitin Mukesh to honour father’s musical legacy in centenary tribute concert at Siri Fort

A special tribute concert will be held at Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi on August 2 to commemorate the birth centenary of legendary playback singer Mukesh. The event, presented by the Scindia Old Boys Association, will feature a live performance by his son, renowned singer Nitin Mukesh.

Known for his soulful renditions and melodious voice, Mukesh remains one of the most beloved voices of Hindi cinema. In this concert, Nitin Mukesh will recreate some of his father’s most iconic songs, including “Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein,” “Kahin Door Jab Din Dhal Jaye,” and “Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan,” accompanied by a full live orchestra.

The evening will also reflect on the legacy of three generations of performers, from Mukesh to Nitin and actor Neil Nitin Mukesh. Nitin Mukesh, who has performed similar tribute concerts across the world, has described this show as “an emotion more than a performance,” recalling personal stories that shaped his musical journey.

The concert is supported by Emperium, Baidyanath, Rekhta Foundation, Imperial Emporio, Mahir Enterprises, Dikshant Foundation, Sixth Sense Events & Entertainment, and Pioneer Events & Entertainment.

When: August 2; Gates open at 6:00 PM, concert starts at 7:00 PM
