To mark its 10th anniversary, the Manasija School of Dance and Music has organised an evening of enthralling performances that will take place August 6. ‘Praroha – Celebrating a decade of Grace and Rhythm’ will see a group of budding artists taking the stage.
Discussing the event, Founder and Director of Manasija School of Dance and Music, Arunima Ghosh, said ‘Praroha’ symbolises the humble presentation of young classical dancers.
The evening will see Odissi performance by the students of Arunima Ghosh and Manasija, Kathak recital by disciples of Guru Alakananda Dasgupta from AIPA and the exquisite Mohiniyattam performance by students of International Academy of Mohiniyattam, disciple of Guru Jayaprabha Menon.
“Praroha, which means ‘sprouts’, embodying the essence of growth and transformation. It is a platform where budding artists, kids, and young adults, nurture their passion for classical arts and bloom into extraordinary performers. This generation, with their unwavering dedication, presents pure classical art forms on stage, sending a powerful social message of preserving our cultural heritage with sincerity and artistry. It fills my heart with immense joy to witness students from not only Delhi NCR but from different parts of India – Kolkata, Pune, Mumbai, Ranchi – come together and share their love for these timeless art forms,” Ghosh said.
