The three artists – Harmeet, Ramachandran, and Yuvan – offer diverse interpretations of contemporary society.

The exhibition will last till October 12.

“Spice Box and Other Voids” compels visitors to contemplate profound ideas. The spice box, far from being a mere container, becomes an embodiment of ideas, emotions, and perhaps, a complete philosophy.

In today’s hyper-digital world, people adopt multiple personas, each projected through digital avatars. Are these personas like spices in a box, chosen as needed? Our minds, holding nostalgia, memories, and emotions, might be structured like spice boxes within us.

The three artists – Harmeet, Ramachandran, and Yuvan – offer diverse interpretations of contemporary society.

Harmeet Rattan: Harmeet, originally from a small Punjab town, explores the impact of surveillance in urban culture. His artwork questions the balance between control and liberty, using symbols like security cameras and neon lights to convey complex narratives.

N Ramachandran: Drawing inspiration from his mother’s spice boxes and Andy Warhol’s time capsules, Ramachandran’s art combines seemingly unrelated elements to create abstract narratives. His work emphasizes immateriality and connectedness.

Yuvan Bothysathuvar: Yuvan’s art combines intricate minimalistic lines with bold bursts of color, inviting viewers to contemplate multidimensional interpretations. He labels his creations as ‘abstract collages’ influenced by pop art culture.
