The event ‘PULSE – Vibration of Life’ is set to present the work of 16 artists on medium of their choice.
The exhibition will be a wreath of paintings, digital art, collages, photographs and ceramic pieces created by artists from Delhi and Mumbai which includes Aarti Uppal, Balesh Jindal, Devangi Sidharth, Dharmendra Singh, Divyaman Singh, Khushroo Kalayanwala, Jaspreet Kaur, Meena Vohra, Rashmi Rai, Shibani Sehgal, Shireen Khanna, Sushil Bhasin, Sushmita Choubey, Vidyasagar Hariharan, Winnie Singh and Yumi Onishi.
This exhibition will be curated by Founder of The Art Exchange Project and Visual Artist Aarti Uppal Singla.
Artist Rashmi Rai says, “Pulse- to me is about coming alive. About revival and connection from the long gap of pandemic. It is like it’s meaning- finding your pulse.”
Artist Dharmendra Singh says, “Pulse is about a rhythm that permeates through the senses. The rhythm that meanders within artists’ sensibilities and joins in a crescendo to meet with the outside world. It’s a rhythm of colors, compositions, moods, themes and brush strokes.”
Artist Sushil Bhasin says, “Pulse means life to me. The hum drum, the high drama, the highs, the lows, the loves, loss… when there is a pulse there is a big canvas of life to take from. As artists we make art from excerpts of this pulse.”
Curator Aarti Uppal Singla says, “Artists, more than just turn out the thoughts in their head. They have the pulse on what happens around them. They are a part of their society and are able to view it with a unique perspective. To be able to paint, draw and sculpt, to be able to share their creations with an audience is the pulse of the thriving world of artists.
The two years of isolation was a period of introspection for them. Each reacted to this difficult time in their own way. But the creative urge was a constant. Some took a hiatus from making art but focused on self-realization others created with a feverish frenzy. Either ways, all waited for the moratorium to end and display their creations for art lovers.
