Meteorologists attributed the spell of cold wave and below-normal day temperatures in northwest India to frigid north westerly winds barrelling through the plains and reduced sunshine due to foggy weather

The weatherman has forecast mainly clear sky for the day with the maximum temperature likely to settle at 28 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature is expected to settle at 26 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 79 per cent
