Oppo has launched its new F31 smartphone series in India, unveiling three models – the Oppo F31 5G, Oppo F31 Pro 5G and the Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G. The lineup emphasises a powerful 7,000mAh battery, AI-powered tools and durability standards that set it apart in the mid-range to premium segments.
The standard Oppo F31 5G will go on sale from September 27, priced at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant and Rs 24,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version. It will be available in Midnight Blue, Cloud Green and Bloom Red. The Oppo F31 Pro 5G will be released earlier, from September 19, at Rs 26,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB configuration, Rs 28,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and Rs 30,999 for the top-end 12GB + 256GB option, with colour choices of Desert Gold and Space Grey. All three devices will be available across offline stores, Oppo’s online platform and e-commerce platforms including Flipkart and Amazon.
The F31 Pro+ 5G is the most premium in the series, offering a 6.8-inch flat AMOLED display with a 93.5 per cent screen-to-body ratio. It weighs 195 grams and measures 7.7mm in thickness. The Pro version comes with a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel, weighing 191 grams with a thickness of 7.9mm, while the standard F31 features the same display, weighing 187 grams and also measuring 7.9mm. The entry-level model additionally includes an under-display fingerprint sensor.
Powering the devices are different chipsets tailored for performance tiers. The F31 Pro+ 5G runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with Adreno 720 GPU, supporting up to 24GB RAM (12GB physical plus 12GB virtual) with UFS 3.1 storage. The F31 Pro 5G uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 Energy processor, paired with a Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, and also supports up to 24GB RAM with UFS 3.1. The standard F31 is built on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, featuring a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, making it a more accessible entry-level 5G option. All three devices run on Oppo’s ColorOS 15, which introduces the Trinity Engine for improved system optimisation.
On the camera front, the series comes with a 50MP main rear sensor with optical image stabilisation. The Pro and Pro+ add a 2MP monochrome sensor, while the F31 relies solely on its primary lens. The Pro and Pro+ carry a 32MP front camera, while the F31 features a 16MP selfie sensor. The devices support 4K video recording and even allow underwater photography without a protective case. Oppo has also integrated several AI-powered features, including AI Eraser 2.0, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover and AI Clarity Enhancer. Productivity functions are enhanced through AI VoiceScribe, which can transcribe and translate in 29 languages, AI Call Assistant with live translations in nine Indian languages, and OPPO Docs with Gemini AI for summarising and rewriting documents.

To maintain performance during heavy use, Oppo has included vapour chamber cooling systems: 5,219mm² in the Pro+, 4,363mm² in the Pro and 4,300mm² in the F31.
With its combination of large batteries, triple IP certification for dust and water resistance, advanced AI features and tiered performance options, Oppo’s F31 series aims to cater to a wide range of 5G users — from entry-level buyers to those seeking premium performance.
