Samsung has unveiled its sleekest F series smartphone to date — the Galaxy F56 5G — on Thursday, 8 May. Measuring just 7.2mm in thickness, the device is being marketed as the slimmest model in the Galaxy F lineup, boasting a flagship-grade camera system, extended Android support, and AI-powered editing features.
Priced at Rs 25,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 28,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version, the Galaxy F56 5G will be available in two colour options: green and violet.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1480 processor paired with LPDDR5X RAM, designed for speed and energy efficiency. It promises a seamless gaming experience, thanks to a flagship-level vapour cooling chamber, enhanced audio-visual output, and support for high-performance tasks.
The F56 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display with 1200 nits of peak brightness and Vision Booster technology for optimal visibility even in bright sunlight. Fuelled by a 5,000 mAh battery, the device supports 45W super-fast charging, making it suitable for long hours of use — whether for gaming or streaming content.

Running on Samsung’s One UI, the smartphone offers a user-friendly, emotive interface and is promised to receive six generations of Android OS updates.
In the camera department, the Galaxy F56 5G sports a triple-lens setup headlined by a 50 MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), backed by Big Pixel technology, Low Noise Mode, and AI Image Signal Processing (ISP). It supports 4K video recording at 30 FPS in 10-bit HDR. The front houses a 12 MP HDR camera for vivid selfies, while features like Portrait 2.0 with 2X zoom add a natural bokeh effect to portrait shots.
Additionally, the device includes AI-powered editing tools such as Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions, aimed at making social media-ready photos easier to achieve straight from the gallery.
