Sony Xperia 1 VII: Sony has introduced its latest premium smartphone, the Xperia 1 VII, showcasing its expertise across multiple divisions, including Alpha cameras, Bravia displays, and Walkman audio. While the company may not lead the global smartphone market, it continues to focus on high-end hardware and innovation.

Professional Camera Capabilities

Building on its Alpha camera technology, the Xperia 1 VII features a 48MP main sensor equipped with AI-powered auto-framing. This intelligent mode can detect people and ensure they’re always centred in the shot. However, due to image cropping, video recording remains capped at 1080p resolution.

The phone retains the 12MP telephoto lens from its predecessor, offering a seamless optical zoom range of 3.5x to 7.1x. A major improvement lies in the new 48MP ultra-wide sensor, promising enhanced detail and broader field-of-view for landscape and group shots.

High-Fidelity Audio with Walkman Influence

Sony has infused the Xperia 1 VII with audio elements from its modern Walkman line-up. The device supports AI-driven DSEE Ultimate upscaling, Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and Dolby Atmos. In addition, the stereo speakers have been fine-tuned for deeper bass, delivering a richer sound experience.

Cinematic Display and Flagship Specs

The smartphone boasts a 6.5-inch 4K OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. It packs 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage, expandable via microSD card, catering to power users and media creators.

Running Android 15, the Xperia 1 VII comes with a promise of four major Android updates. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery, compatible with 30W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
